This morning Janine picked up 15 sets of scrubs made from fabric donated by Hither Green residents last week.
Scrubs are the loose fitting cotton tunic and trousers worn by clinical stuff. Hospital staff are changing clothes up to 12 times a day.
The super sewing team of Katy, Sue and Ella will be working over the Easter weekend to make another 15 sets. Mastermind and local fashion designer Glen Ellison has just cut outt 5 sets himself which makes a total of another 20 sets of scrubs Lewisham next week.
Unfortunately all the fabric has now been used, so if anyone fancies donating to the next batch that would be greatly received.
Contact Glen Ellison on Facebook to make arrangements. He posts all receipts on facebook. His email is glen@ellison.tv

This is Janie wearing one set. It’s nice and thin to go under the Personal Protective Equipment they have to wear!
