Important information on coronavirus
How to protect yourself
Everyone is being reminded to follow Public Health England advice to:
-
Always carry tissues with you and use them to catch your cough or sneeze. Then bin the tissue, and wash your hands, or use a sanitiser gel.
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after using public transport. Use a sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available.
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
-
Avoid close contact with people who are unwell.
Who to contact for advice

Launch of Lewisham Wellbeing Map (LWM) and first Mapathon
Based on an original idea by Tim Bradley OBE, a group of Lewisham Borough residents have built the Lewisham Wellbeing Map, a free digital/printable map of hundreds of local places good for health and wellbeing. They have now launched their website www.LewishamWellbeingMap.co.uk to help fellow locals find what’s good, nearby – for them, or someone they care for – and to make the map more comprehensive.
The map has nine optional layers: some correspond to the NHS-endorsed ‘Five Ways to Wellbeing’, such as Connecting or Being Active. Others list places for people, with particular wellbeing needs, such as older people. For example, the map can help you to connect at a regular coffee morning nearby, or be active on a walk or at an exercise or yoga session on your doorstep, at the level that suits you.
Join the first ‘Mapathon’ meet-up, for locals to pool knowledge and expertise. The first Mapathon is pencilled in for the afternoon of 26 March at Place Ladywell, and anyone who feels they can make a contribution is welcome. For further information contact Tim Bradley at LewishamWellbeingMap@gmail.com or on 0744 362 6954. Twitter @LewishamMap
