Iyengar Yoga is a safe, progressive and enjoyable way to learn yoga that’s suitable for all ages, and all levels of fitness.
It is based on the teachings of Guruji Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja (BKS) Iyengar, one of the world’s most respected yoga teachers, and author of the celebrated yoga guide “Light On Yoga”. Students are taught focus and subtlety through asana (the physical postures) and pranayama (breathing).
Some of the many physical benefits include improved relaxation, strength, flexibility and endurance. Students also learn to develop a deeper self awareness, emotional stability and a general feeling of well being.
