The Creative Collective is a new opportunity for 10 young artists (aged 15 – 19), looking to develop their own artistic work as composers and choreographers.
Creative Collective participants will have the opportunity to develop their individual choreographic or composition skills, as well as develop skills in collaborative practice and creating performance work.
The Creative Collective will be mentored by professional composer Mark Bowden and choreographer Bethan Peters, to create new, innovative and challenging pop-up performances across Lewisham as part of the annual Lewisham LiveFestival, and at the Tate Modern as part of the Tate Exchange programme in February 2017.
LEWISHAM LIVE EXPLODES
The Creative Collective forms part of Lewisham Live EXPLODES, a new one-year initiative in 2017. The programme enables musicians and dancers to extend their skills, commitment and progression so that they have an opportunity to specialise and develop into choreographers or composers, perhaps professionally.
