New ‘Eat well, Live well’ Healthy Living Programme


Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency has been engaged by Lewisham Council to deliver a borough-wide healthy Lifestyle programme. People and community organisations groups from across the borough will be able to access:

FREE 6-week cookery clubs

Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to experienced cooks. Participants receive a FREE

cookery book on completion of the course.

  •  The cookery clubs, run a weekly practical session, where participants take part in preparing a

selection of recipes, and are shown how to make small changes to way meals are prepared

to support healthy eating

  • Participants visit a local community garden to find out more about food growing and about

other related benefits and opportunities

Cookery clubs will run from September 2016 at various locations across the borough, and will be advertised through community networks and social media

FREE Physical activity and healthy eating training programme

  •  To provide training for local community groups to help them deliver sessions to increase
  • physical activity levels and healthy eating behaviours with their participants
  •  Support trained community groups to deliver these sessions to their participants



Recruitment of community organisations through application process Between July to September 2016
2-day training course on Healthy Eating and Physical Activity



October to November2016
Trained community groups/organisations to deliver healthier lifestyle

April 2017
