Local Clean Air Campaigns:
The right to breathe Clean Air is the reason the Kissi-Debrah family have engaged a group to monitor pollutant levels on the South Circular where Brownhill Road becomes St Mildreds.
Clean Air Campaigns are gathering real momentum locally. A major prop in the A Better Lee Green campaign against the giant ASDA superstore being built in Leegate opposite the established giant Sainsbury’s superstore is traffic and air pollution. Air at the Lee/ Eltham / Tiger’s Head crossroads is already 25% over legal limits. Lewisham Council Planning gave the developers Planning Permission the go ahead just 2 weeks ago.
If you have respiratory issues and live close to Leegate and the Tigers Head junction, then please do get in touch with the A Better Lee Green Team .

The HGCA works closely with the Corbett Residents Association whose patch is adjacent to the South Circular. They are concerned enough to be widening their street planting schemes.
