Lee WI begin Centenary Celebrations

To mark the 100th Anniversary of the WI, the Lee Branch is joining forces with Friends of Manor House Gardens  for a tidy up of the Park. Together they will be weeding a section around the lake and helping in the community garden by Manor Lane.

Do pop along and help get the Park ready for winter.

WI Ceremony: This will be followed by the ceremonial planting of a WI Centenary Celebration Oak Tree and the raising of the Park’s well earned Green Flag Award

Date: Saturday 19th September

Clean Up Time: 11.00am – 1.30pm.

Assembly Point: the wooden gateway to the wild flower garden (below the playground near to Brightfield Road entrance).
1.40pm : Planting of WI  Centenary Celebration Oak Tree
1.50pm: Raising of the Green Flag ( outside the Cafe)

Take suitable boots, gloves, tools such as large and small forks,trowels and secateurs.

There will be classic WI refreshments available for your efforts!
