Next meeting of Lee Manor Society
This will be held from 7.30 pm at 105 Burnt Ash Road, SE12 8RA on Wednesday 15 April.  An agenda will be circulated nearer the time.  Please click here for notes from our last meeting held on Wednesday 11 March.

Response to the Leegate Planning Application by St Modwen
We have submitted our response to the Lewisham Planning Department and it can be read on our web site here.  If you are intending to make your own response, please note that the last date for doing so is Wednesday 15 April and that to be valid your submission (letter or email) must include your name and address.

Thefts from sheds and garages
PC Ben Smith (Safer Neighbourhood Team) reports another spate of thefts from sheds and garages – principally of bicycles – please see the post on the Local Assembly web site Leegreen.London for more details.

PlantMart 2015
A reminder that this will be held on Saturday 16 May and we shall be most grateful for your donations of plants to our Annual Lee Manor Society fund-raiser:

The next meeting of FUSS will be held from 7.30 pm at 89 Manor Park, SE13 5RA on Wednesday 1 April.  As this will be the last meeting before the AGM at which the Chair, Ann Smith, be standing down it would be good to have as many people present as possible for there will be much to discuss.
For the diary, there is also a Craft Fair at the Church of the Good Shepherd on Saturday 25 April and we will circulate a poster under separate cover.

Hither Green Festival – WW1 Music Hall on Tuesday 19 May
This year’s History Talk as part of the Hither Green Festival is planned to be the involvement of Hither Green during World War 1.  The challenge is to make it relevant and in context with this Europe-wide and (as the name suggests) World-wide catastrophe.  It will be presented as a Music Hall and as part of the planning, Alan Foster and Godfrey Smith are researching local personal family involvement in the Staplehurst Road to Manor Park area during this period – the new War Memorial in The Church of the Good Shepherd comes to mind.  Do please contact them (or, Lee Manor Society) if you can help.
With best wishes,
Ralph White
