Emily Mottished is a Lewisham based Paramedic who runs accredited first aid training courses in Lewisham and Bromley.
Two-day Paediatric first aid course.
This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.
This two-day course satisfies the guidelines and criteria as laid down by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED.
In order to obtain this qualification, you must attend both days
First aid kit | Choking (Child, infant and adult protocols) | Head injuries |
Managing an emergency and where to obtain help | Treatment of an unconscious casualty | Asthma and diabetic emergencies |
The role of the first aider | Resuscitation (Child, infant and adult protocols) | Spinal injuries |
Communication and casualty care | Anaphylaxis | Seizures |
Extremes of hot and cold | Drowning | Shock |
Extremes of hot and cold | Bleeding | Burns |
Sprains, strains and fractures | Poisoning, bites and stings | Foreign objects

Eye injuries | Childhood conditions (e.g. meningitis an croup) | Sickle cell anaemia. |
Emergency First Aid at Work courses.
Emily also runs courses suitable for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.
This 1 day Emergency First Aid at Work course follows the same HSE syllabus as followed by St Johns Ambulance and The British Red Cross.
