Springbank Road Garden locks it’s gates.

Last week some fence panels and trellising were stolen from the rear of the Springbank Road Community Garden. J.Olif the developers and Hexagon Housing ignored warnings about the unsuitability of the fencing.

This weekend domestic waste including nappies and bottles were dumped in the garden and the rainwater butt drained.

So from today the gates to the garden have been padlocked.

Hopefully we won’t have to do this for long, as it’s a community garden and shouldn’t be locked up.
