Living Streets- Walking safely to school

What are your favourite memories of walking to school? Running through leaves? Finding shortcuts?

Over 70% of today’s parents walked to school as a child, but less than half of children walk to school today.

So we’ve produced this delightful animation to remind people of their childhood memories, and to help us save the memories for the next generation. We need to spread the word about the falling number of today’s children walking to school, and show there are solutions proven to work.

So please watch the animation now, and share it with your friends.

We’ve already had some success in our campaign – last week the Department for Transport announced a target of 55% of primary school children walking to school by 2025.

This is a brilliant start, but we need to spread the word further to gather the support needed to make this a reality.

Watch the animation now to find out more.
