Funding: Commemorating The Great War.

Commemorate WWI in your community

Community groups all over the country are finding ways to commemorate the Centenary of the beginning of the First World War.

The Heritage Lottery Fund is offering grants to community projects in their Understanding the First World War project from 2014 – 2018. The funding aims to help groups, communities and organisations mark the Centenary by exploring, conserving and sharing the heritage of the First World War.

This could be in a whole range of ways such as memorials, buildings and sites, to photographs, letters and literature.
