Brownhill Road is a crucial part of the South Circular and always busy. This particular strectch- between Torridon Road and Catford is also a busy pedestrian route with families having to cross it in order to get to schools.
The fatal accident on Brownhill Road earlier this spring has galvanise worried local residents to establish a Road Safety campaign. They believe this part of Brownhill Road needs serious safety improvements by the crossing. As it is a Red Route, they intend to lobby Transport for London and Lewisham Highways to improving the road layout.
You can support them by signing an on-line petition: A Safer Brownhill Road For Everyone. And do and encourage your friends and family to have a look too.
