Safer Corbett Homes

Today the Corbett Residents’ Association and the Archibald Corbett Society have passed on important information  about a recent spate of attempted break ins.

We live at the bottom end Minard Road and had attempted break-in whilst we were at home last night.
This brings the total burglary incidents Im aware of to six.  (Three in last seven days)

The HGCA will be working with these local groups  to ask the local Safer Neighbourhood Team to increase street patrols and notify residents.

UPDATE- 09/ 09/ 2014:  A response  from PC Andrew Reading, dedicated Ward Officer for Catford South SNT

I have checked Minard Road and Wellmeadow Road on our crime reporting system and have found that there have been 3 attempted and 2 actual burglaries from 1st August 2014 to 9th September 2014. We have visited not just the victims but 5 doors either side and opposite to make them aware and to see if they have seen or heard anything and also to give them crime prevention advice.
Last week we carried out street a week on Wellmeadow Road (Catford South side) where we delivered crime prevention leaflets to every household. I am aware that Lewisham Central SNT are arranging a street briefing in the area as well and will or have given you details.

Crime prevention advice to follow.
