Leegate Centre Development- Consultation Deadline nears

Scores of local people had their first proper look at St Modwen’s plans for the Leegate Shopping Centre during their consultation days last week.

The plans for the run down site were displayed in one of the many empty shops in the precinct.  St Modwen’s architects, landscape designers and project managers were on hand to answer questions including what happens to the existing businesses which have faithfully served the Lee community for many years like Handy’s  and the Pharmacy.

There is still time to have your say about the plans- the deadline to submit feedback is 11 July.  If you would like to know more about the new development’s effect on:

  •  Jobs
  • Traffic
  • Housing
  • Local business

Whether for or against the development of Leegate and the coming of ASDA, you can  fill in this form. It can be submitted anonymously.
