The Springbank  Garden is one of 100 official Pocket Parks around London and you can find it right next to the 225 bus stop on Springbank Road! HGCA volunteers have monthly gardening sessions  to look after it and all the town planters. All sessions are open and everyone is welcome!

Location: We meet at Platform 1 Entrance to Hither Green Station on Springbank Road, opposite Duncrevie Road.

Note: Accompanied children are very welcome in the garden,
Contact: Volunteer@ourhithergreen.com.  Spring 2013 will be a busy one!

Spring 2014

Volunteers cleared rubbish and weeds from what was a derelict site back in 2010, and planted a beautiful flower garden. Now when people wait for their bus, they sit surrounded by a rich tapestry of flowers, grasses and climbing plants!

The garden has really cheered up Springbank Road; paths have been laid and benches installed so passers-by can take the time to enjoy the view.

April 2014 – The Springbank Garden won Pocket Park funding from the Greater London Authority, this is paying for new  compost bins to be built and a rainwater harvest system too.
