Are you new to yoga and not sure where to start? Registration is open for “an introduction to ashtanga yoga”, a four-week course in Hither Green, suitable for complete beginners and anyone wanting a refresher. This is a safe, accessible and fun way to explore a traditional yoga practice – and you don’t need to be flexible to start. Everybody is welcome!

The course is taught by local resident Chris Patmore and begins on Thursday 29th June, 7.30-8.30pm. Chris is authorised by the K Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute (KPJAYI) in Mysore India.

In ashtanga yoga, synchronised breath and movement (vinyasa) link the postures together in a flowing sequence. The practice brings strength and stability to the body and builds an internal heat to help purify the muscles and organs.

Dates: Thursdays 29th June and 6th, 13th and 20th July

Time: 7.30-8.30pm

Location: Lochaber Hall, Manor Lane Terrace, SE13 5QL
