Severndroog Castle is a unique historic building in Oxleas Wood, Shooters Hill. Its volunteering team has been in touch about current opportunities for volunteering: visitor assistance, community learning, events organisation, marketing, and fundraising.

The Gothic tower was built in 1784 by Lady Anne James in memory of her husband William, a famous naval commander and successful businessman.
It has been used in different ways for over 230 years and has now been restored and reopened to the public. In addition to the atmospheric rooms, the roof platform offers stunning views of the capital’s skyline. The Castle hosts a varied programme of performances, offers monthly family activities and is available for private hire.
