Sandhurst Shopping Parade – Shutter Art

The Corbett Residents Association (CRA) in Catford have issued a notice inviting Expressions of Interest from local artists to display their work on the shutters and shop frontages on Sandhurst Road as part of a drive to improve the business and retail offer.

Forest Hill and most recently Brockley have recently undergone transformation by street art. In both areas, the new art works have given their town centres a boost of energy by brightening up hidden corners, empty shops and previously dead spaces.

This will be a smart opportunity to get your work seen.
Please see below for their notification and the official project brief.

“We are inviting local artists to create a piece of art work suitable for display on shop shutters on Sandhurst Parade, Catford, SE6.

The work will reflect the nature of the businesses on the Parade and so promote interest in and footfall along the Parade, thus increasing trade and hopefully attracting more businesses to the Parade in the future. This will complement improvements to the Parade already planned.
Please read the attached brief and get back to me if you would like to take part in the project and submit a sample of your work.
