How would you adapt your neighbourhood to make it fit for the future?

Design for Life is a new design competition which aims to encourage housing providers, designers and local communities to  redesign their own green spaces so they are better able to respond to the threats of flooding, heatwaves and water shortages.

The competition is sponsored by Groundwork London the environmental charity and backed by the National Housing Federation and the Landscape Institute, .

The Competition: Show how you would build local resilience to climate change through retrofitting your local landscape for a chance to win up to £1000 along with a day of expert advice to help develop and implement your idea.

All shortlisted design proposals will be showcased at an event in October, and be featured in Landscape, the journal of the Landscape Institute in early 2016.

Design for Life is free to enter and is open to everyone, regardless of skills or experience in landscape design.
Competition Brief: Download the competition brief, including T &Cs.

Deadline for submissions is 17:00 GMT, 21st September 2015.
