Transform your home this spring with up to £7,200 off home improvements
Residents of Lewisham, Bexley and Bromley are already taking advantage of a great offer on home improvements, thanks to funding from the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
Funding is available to local residents and landlords to help improve their properties and comes in the form of discounts of up to 50% off the costs of some home improvement measures.
Lewisham, Bexley and Bromley Councils are all supporting this scheme as it is designed to help people cut their energy bills and make their homes easier to keep warm in winter and comfortable in summer. The funding can be used for insulation, new heating systems, improved windows and doors and a whole range of other energy saving measures.
People living in older properties can get 50% off the cost of solid wall insulation, up to a maximum of £6,000.
“We have a lot of older housing in these three Boroughs. You see Victorian terraces and 1920s semi-detached houses in street after street,” said Simon Evans, Director at Osborne Energy who are managing the scheme on behalf of the three Councils. “Many people think that these properties can’t be insulated and will always be cold. In fact, insulation for solid walled homes is readily available, and more affordable than ever, thanks to this funding.”
Householders can also access up to £1,200 off the cost of other energy efficiency measures, such as:
- new boilers,
- double glazing
- or renewable energy systems.
The first step is to contact Osborne Energy on 0800 085 1674 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a call back.
“We’ll ask you some questions about your property and arrange a full energy assessment so you can see exactly how energy is being used at home and what opportunities there are for savings,” said Simon Evans. “It’s important to get in touch soon though: the funding is only available for a limited time.”
