Local people are building a new community garden at the very top of Brownhill Road It’s called The Garden on the Hill and will be outside the Brownhill Road Baptist Church and community hall. It’s the only public frontage on Brownhill Road and has cars on the South Circular thundering by.
The elderly congregation will be working with local residents to re design and plant up the huge stone beds which face onto Brownhill Road.
Volunteers have already removing everything- tired old shrubs, the soil and the rubbish old noticeboard. Over the next few months, they will be planting  a bright colourful garden to celebrate Her Majesty’s 90 Birthday.
Funded by the Catford South Assembly, they hope lots of people will come and help!
