ARts Society
 Lewisham Society of Arts will once again be an integral part of the Hither Green Festival.  Established during WWII to encourage creativity in the Borough this is an Art Show where local, skilled, professional artists and leisure painters have the opportunity to showcase their work.

Members will be exhibiting their work every day of the Festival (17 -25 May) from 10-4pm at St Swithun’s Church, 191 Hither Green Lane London SE13 6LE . Entrance FREE


 Choral Evensong  Sunday 18 May 6.30pm at St Swithun’s Church, Hither Green Lane. FREE

Festal Choral Evensong. sung by the Hither Green Community Choir and Directed by Philip Bell. They will be joined by the Cats Choir  Directed  by Mairead Sheerin. The beautiful ancient service of Choral Evensong with music from the plainsong of the Monks through to Handel, Vaughan Williams and the popular Cambridge composer John Rutter.

The service includes the regal setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in D minor by Thomas Attwood Walmisley, celebrating his 200th birthday this year!Enjoy the beauty of St Swithuns church with centuries of wonderful religious music.
